I had a fantastic experience with East Bay Tree Service when they removed a stump from my front yard. They have the right equipment and skills to get the job done quickly and effectively. The crew was friendly, and the price was very reasonable.

Victor and his crew did a great job cutting down 5 trees in my yard. One was a large pine growing diagonally into my neighbors yard. They were very efficient and precise. The crew all knew what they needed to do and did it. You can tell, they have great respect for Victor. I'm attaching some pics of the work in progress! (BTW, his price was the best as well and he is very responsive and accommodating.) One one wish (star) is that they prunned a bit more of the tree in the front. I think they were pooped by the end of the day since they also had my neighbor's giant tree to prune. Otherwise, great company and highly recommended!

We just had a big job of tree removal done at our home this past week. We had three estimates and went with East Bay Tree Company. I cannot say enough positive things about Victor the owner and his amazing crew. We had 2 large Redwoods, a Sycamore and many small trees removed and all the stumps ground. The job was done timely and professionally. Victor oversaw the entire project, keep us abreast of what would be taking place each day and even went so far as to quiet the machines when our granddaughter went down for her naps. We were so impressed with the job that we kept them on for additional work. They did a wonderful job pruning and shaping our Magnolia tree as well. We will continue to use East Bay Tree for all our projects in the future big or small!!! Thank you Victor and crew for a job well done. We are pleased!

We first used East Bay Tree Service about 5 years ago to do some tree trimming and removal, as well as a major trim on our gigantic cottonwood tree. Recently, when we needed additional tree work - removal of a liquidambar, trimming and shaping of our silver maple, crape myrtle and Japanese maple - we immediately thought of Victor and East Bay Tree Service. Victor came out the same day that I called to give me an estimate. A couple of days later, Victor and his crew arrived and completed the job within a few hours. His prices are fair, he supervises every job, and he is very knowledgeable about trees. His crew is courteous, quick, and does a thorough cleanup. If you need tree work done, I would recommend that you call East Bay Tree Service for an estimate.

We were directed to this company by my parents, who used them to remove a couple of huge and dangerous pines that were not well out in Lafayette, and raved out their work (they don't really write reviews, but would definitely give them 5 stars). This is a small company so is very busy and is not easy to schedule. But if you persist, they will do great work both on the trees and on the clean up. We have used them twice now - once last fall and a second time this winter to clean up the yard of a house that we purchased last March, was a former rental, and had a complete mess of a back yard - trees and shrubs that had never been cared for. There were sick and leaning trees (safety hazard to us and our kids), overgrown trees with branches all the way to the ground, a pine full of dead limbs, and thick walls of weedy shrubs and vines like english ivy. The yard now looks much better and with all the cleanup done is ready for a landscaper to come in and work with us on a permaculture-type setup that includes to planting native California trees, shrubs, grasses and wildlflowers, and our favorite fruit trees and shrubs (and eventually some chickens).

We had a 60+ foot Eucalyptus and Bay tree that needed removal. Victor came the same day to give an reasonable estimate, scheduled removal the next day, workers showed up punctually at 8am, and worked 2 days. The workers were careful and skillful not to ruin the vegetable garden or come near the close by deck with the machinery or the 100-300# logs that were brought down. They also did a complimentary trim of another Eucalyptus that hung over from a neighbor's property. When they left, they cleaned up the area as well as the street where the chipping was done. That evening, Victor called to make sure we were satisfied about the work and offered a log splitter for us to use for the firewood we kept, for no charge. Long story short-- Victor is a great guy and gets things done. I needed the job done professionally and quickly and I don't have time to mess around, my life is too busy already. These guys are great-- they came out and did an excellent job (just have to wait a couple more days for the stumps to be removed). Victor gave me an excellent price and came with a highly qualified crew that were very professional and listened to my exact requests. A+++++

We recently moved to the East Bay to a home with really nice, but overgrown trees. Victor and his team were true professionals and were a joy to work with. Scope of work was to remove a 60 year old redwood that was planted too close for comfort to our home's foundation, a cedar, and two ash trees. They also cleaned up a number of redwoods and birch trees throughout the property which instantly added curb appeal. They also ground the stumps where trees were removed. We were shocked with how quickly and safely the trees came down. Victor and his crew were really focused on delivering a great customer experience. Our neighbors took note too, so I would imagine he'll be getting a bunch of referrals coming out of our job. I also appreciated how they cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. My advice: book East Bay Tree Service for your arborist needs. Yes, there may be companies that come in way cheaper, but if you search them you'll see that they jeopardize their crew's safety and I wouldn't want that on my conscious.
